    INTRODUCTION:

    Industrial relations has become one of the most delicate and complex problems of modern industrial society. Industrial progress is impossible without cooperation of labors and harmonious relationships. Therefore, it is in the interest of all to create and maintain good relations between employees (labor) and employers (management).
    Recently in Ashulia, (BPZ) there is a conflict arise between employees’ and authority. This conflict cause 15 employees injured & huge damages to the public properties. This is about only ashulia, all over the country this type of conflict happened over the year. It should be stop for industrial development.


    INDUSTRIAL RELATION:

    The term ‘Industrial Relations’ comprises of two terms: ‘Industry’ and ‘Relations’. “Industry” refers to “any productive activity in which an individual (or a group of individuals) is (are) engaged”. By “relations” we mean “the relationships that exist within the industry between the employer and his workmen.”

    Industrial relations are the relationships between employees and employers within the organizational settings. The field of industrial relations looks at the relationship between management and workers, particularly groups of workers represented by a union. Industrial relations are basically the interactions between employers, employees
    and the government, and the institutions and associations through which such interactions are mediated.

    LABOR vs OWNER CONFLICT IN ASHULIA

    REASON BEHIND THE CONFLICT:
    The main reason behind the conflict is the authority’s irresponsibility in giving salary to the employees’ in due time & not maintaining their own commitment when providing other incentives.



    ESSENTIALS FOR SOUND INDUSTRIAL RELATION(FROM THE OWNERS SIDE):


    • They should provide the wages to their labors before the conflict arises.

    • Owners should be more responsible towards their workers’ need.

    • It is important to pay the wages on due date; otherwise the authority must inform the workers in case of delay of payment.

    • Owners should sit-together with the labor union leaders to solve the problem immediately.

    • Owners should avoid their tendencies to involve police force to control the situation. Because, it may increase conflict level between the workers and the authority.







    ESSENTIALS FOR SOUND INDUSTRIAL RELATION (LABORS SIDE):


    • There are many ways to solve this problem, but here workers should not damage the public properties by doing activities like damaging
    vehicles or shops or blocking roads etc.

    • Labor union leaders should be more patience when facing these kind of problem.

    • Finally, workers should respect the decisions of the authority.




    ESSENTIALS FOR SOUND INDUSTRIAL RELATION (GOVERNMENT SIDE):


    • Government should impose some rules on the industry groups to reduce the conflict.

    • Especially government should be strict about the payment of wages to workers in proper or scheduled time.
